2008 Season and All the Changes
Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 20:49

The season will start on January 19th but with some changes for many reasons.  Please be sure to read this section as well as updates on the main section.

This season we would like to put the fun back into the entire season.  Towards the end last year it became stressful and not very fun for myself or Aimee.  There are some changes this year from last, so please read and take note:

Remaining the same:

  • The games will always be the 3rd Saturday of every month, UNLESS we need to reschedule and we will try to reschedule it and let it be convenient for every one.

Changes:

  • EVERYONE MUST register on the league section.
  • EVERYONE MUST reserve a seat by signing into the league section and clicking on the "???" under the "confirm" for the upcoming tournament until it says you are "In"--if you are a regular and WILL NOT be coming you must choose "Out".
  • Reservations MUST be made by 10:00 pm on the Friday before the game.
  • First come, first reserve.
  • Becoming a regular does NOT reserve you a spot.
  • The time of the games will be starting at 4:00 pm. (They used to start at 6:30 pm)
  • We will be starting with 3000 in chips. (4500 was used last year)
  • The deal will rotate around the table.  If you are on the button you WILL be dealing. Big blind shuffles. (IF someone is knocked out and wants to deal, then that will be ok.)
  • Maximum 20 players per game. (Last year we said 30)
  • The buy-in will now be $20 per tournament game. ($10 towards game pot, $10 towards Championship pot.)
  • No re-buys.
  • No add-ons
  • To play in the Championship game you MUST play in at least 5 season games, and pay ($10) for each missed game.
  • In order to play in the Championship game for free you MUST play in all 11 regular games, or pay the  difference for the missed game(s).
  • No more food. We will supply sodas.
  • A 30 minute break will happen around 7:00. (if you want to bring something to eat for this break, that will be fine.)
  • "NO FOOD AT THE TABLE" will be enforced.

We really would like to have someone else host a game or two... If you have the ability to put 2 tables in your house then please consider hosting a game.  It would be a big relief every once in a while.
