Every 3rd Saturday of the month is a league
game. Everyone is still invited regardless of
being league players or not. Points and cash
will be awarded for placing. Buy-in is $20.
$10 goes to the pot, $10 go to
the "Championship Pot". There will be eleven (11)
games and a Championship. The Championship
will be FREE and held December 11th. In order to play in the
Championship for free you must participate in
all 11
of the 11 games, or the entry fee is $10 for
each deficit (i.e. if you only played in 5, your
entry would be $60--which goes to the pot). You
must have played in at least five (5) games to play in the Championship.
The point system is based on the
one used by pokerstars.net. We have altered it
slightly:
score =
round ((5.0
* sqrt(# of players
/ player finish))
*
(1.0 +
(ln(buy-in
+ 1.0))))
One change this year is NOT providing a
handicapped starting chip count at the beginning
of the final game. Everyone will start the
final game with 10,000 tournament chips.
The biggest change will be no buy-ins for
no-shows. If you can't make it, you lose
the points. If you have reserved a seat
and do not make it before the beginning of the
first break, you will lose the buy-in
opportunity, and you will get no points.
The League Rake will be used
to pay for the following: The points leader
after the final game will win $150. The
remainder of the money will go towards the
Championship game's pot. So we could
expect $800 or more on a "free" game at the
end of the year.
